Brennan Aberle and Julie Wall Teach Online Criminal Law Courses For Lawyers

Brennan Aberle and Julie Wall are excited to announce that we will be teaching free online courses for other attorneys who are seeking credit for Continuing Legal Education requirements by the North Carolina State Bar. These courses will available online to criminal defense attorneys at no cost.

The three courses will be entitled: Using Technology to Work Remotely, Defending Marijuana Cases in the Age of Hemp, and 10 Uncommon Tricks for Protecting Defendants. The first course is particularly relevant during the coronavirus outbreak as lawyers are struggling to adjust with running a business and trying to socially distance themselves from clients and courthouse personnel. The second course is focused around some of the unique challenges and opportunities of defending marijuana cases since the legalization of hemp, which is indistinguishable in sight and smell from marijuana. The final course covers some of the lesser-used statutory and constitutional tactics that you can use to help you protect your clients.
